During his career he has worked and lived in the majority of the world’s major markets and developed a reputation as a highly creative executive, marketing turn-around specialist, entrepreneur and authority on social media. He is a prolific writer, blogger and speaker on marketing, technolody and Web 2.0.

For the past two decades, Andy Lark has worked alongside CEOs and their leadership teams to define – and then attain – digital and brand greatness for their institutions. These include Air New Zealand, Brocade, Commonwealth Bank, Coles, Dell, Emirates Team New Zealand, IBM, Simplot, Southwest Airlines, Sun, The New Zealand Government, and Visa. He has built some of the world’s most successful ecommerce sites; online communities and applications for smartphones.
Prior to joining Xero he was Chief Marketing and Online Officer for Australia’s leading financial institution, the Commonwealth Bank. There he launched the worlds most successful eWallet for smartphones and Facebook — and, ushered in “Can” – one of Australia’s largest brand campaigns, reaffirming his credentials as a global brand leader.
He is a non-executive director of Mighty River Power, SLI Systems, Fronde and Number 8 Ventures – New Zealand’s leading technology venture capital firm. He and invests in and advises numerous start-ups and technology leaders including Simple, Flamingo, Marketshare and Marketo – US-based leaders in marketing automation technologies.
He also chairs Group Lark – an accelerant for digital and brand transformations.
He is a passionate supporter of NZ and Australian entrepreneurs where his work was recognised with the NZ Government’s prestigious World class New Zealander Award — and most recently, the Flying Kiwi Award on behalf of the NZ Hi-tech sector.
When he is not immersed in work, he is a competitive sailor, a very non-competitive cyclist, and writer. He has won over 100 awards for work in building brands and creating online capabilities.
